Pricing and Scheduling
Different styles and types of tattoos require different levels of attention and time.
Size and detail also play a role in how we price and schedule our tattoos.
Hourly rates vary per artist. Inquire with your artist for pricing.
Iggy also offers pricing by the session and you can inquire with him directly for details.
Our shop minimum is $150.
We require a $150 non-refundable deposit for appointments. In order to make an appointment you must first set up a consultation to discuss your tattoo ideas with your artist. Each artist handles their own schedule and you can reach them directly through our contact page.
Larger multiple session projects are scheduled monthly. We try to guesstimate the amount of sessions projects may take but it’s not guaranteed. (please refer to the ‘Understanding the Process’ section for further details).
Our rates are set, whether it’s hourly or by the session, until the project is completed. (Some exceptions apply).
We encourage and advice taking the time to consult with your artist so that you have a complete understanding of our pricing and scheduling policies.

DO YOU TAKE WALK-INS?
We are a private studio and we require consultations prior to scheduling appointments. We welcome walk-ins IF we have availability. Inquiries are welcome via email, the contact page on our website, Instagram DM, or our Google business page.
WHAT TYPES OF TATTOOS DO YOU SPECIALIZE IN?
We provide all styles of tattoos and do not focus on one tattoo style or treatment. CAN I BRING IN MY OWN DESIGN OR CAN I HAVE MY IDEA DESIGNED FOR ME?
We can fully customize and design your tattoo idea for you, and we’d be more than happy to tattoo a design of your own. Keep in mind though, we don’t copy other artist work. We take plagiarism seriously. But using other artists work for inspiration and reference is always welcomed. Our preferred way of designing our tattoos is to work closely with each client and their ideas. By working together, our artists will focus solely on trying to bring each clients idea to life and do everything possible to create a rendition of the clients vision to their liking.
IS AION TATTOO AN ALL DISPOSABLE STUDIO?
Yes. We believe that the best way to protect your health and ours is to only use single use supplies and equipment that ensures the safety of all involved. Aion tattoo and it’s artists are all certified in the most current and up to date health and safety standards required by our local county board of health. We are inspected regularly and we pride ourselves in ensuring and providing the most cleanly and safe environment possible for all of our clients.
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO CONTACT AN ARTIST IF I’M INTERESTED IN GETTING TATTOOED BY THEM?
There are several ways to contact your artist. The best way is to email them directly so you can set up a time to consul with them. you can also call the studio.
DO I NEED TO PUT DOWN A DEPOSIT? WHAT IS YOUR DEPOST CANCELLATION POLICY?
In order to reserve your appointment, a deposit is required. $50-$100 is usually the deposit fee. Deposits are non refundable. That initial deposit goes toward any and all preliminary work as well as set up costs for the artist. We require a 72 hour notice to cancel an appointment. If you reschedule your appointment 72 hours prior, that first deposit will still apply towards that overall price of your tattoo. We understand that life happens and cancellations may be inevitable; but to protect our artists time, that deposit may be forfeited if you cancel within that 72 hour grace period or no-call no show.
WILL YOU TELL ME HOW TO TAKE CARE OF MY TATTOO?
Our artists are well versed in tattoo after care. At the end of your appointment, they will both verbally give you thorough after care instructions as well as an after care instruction sheet to take home with you, should you need it.
What is the best way to contact an artist if I’m interested in getting tattooed by them?
There are several ways to contact your artist. The best way is to email them directly so you can set up a time to consult with them. You can also call the studio. Or, you can always stop by during our business hours.
DO YOU DO TOUCH UPS?
We offer free touch ups, however, the way that some tattoos heal is beyond our control. Certain part of the body have no guarantee that the ink will hold (ex: hands & feet.) Therefore, some touchups may require a fee. Any other touch up questions can be directed to your artist.
CAN I BRING FRIENDS OR FAMILY WITH ME WHEN I GET TATTOOED?
Absolutely. We understand how important it can be to have support, but out respect to our space and others sharing it, please keep friends/family members limited to 1 person.
DO TATTOOS HURT?
Yes. Yes they do! Lol. But people are resilient. You’d be surprised what you can withstand. The mind plays a big role in getting tattooed as well. If you want it bad enough, you’ll endure that pain. I always love to say… “Nothing in life worth having comes easy” and that includes tattoos. :)

It is our experience that in depth and detailed tattoos can take a long time to complete. The reason being is that there are many factors that come into play that determines this. So we’ve taken the time to explain so that clients can have a better understanding of the time it takes to make these kinds of tattoos. For anyone wanting detailed oriented tattoos, hyper-realism, or portraiture, please be sure to read and inform yourself so that you understand the involvement of time and effort that it could take to create this kind of work here at Aion Tattoo.
The first and most important thing to know is that our number one priority is the final outcome of each clients tattoo. And although we believe that reaching the optimal level of success in each piece can be time consuming, we try to be as efficient as possible. Creating amazing pieces of art often take a great deal of time, and that’s with every genre of art. We understand that not everyone can afford to sit for many hours, session after session, so we ask that you take this factor under consideration when deciding to get work done by us. We aren’t the fastest but we take pride in doing the best work possible if allowed to take the time we feel necessary to create it. After all, tattoos are permanent and we believe in doing our best to guarantee every clients satisfaction of our work.
With our combined experience, we have almost 30 years of doing portraiture and realism work. In doing this, it takes time and patience because we are literally trying to portray someone’s loved one, a pet, or even a place that has significance to the client. Sometimes it’s a celebrity or someone famous and recognizable. One of the biggest challenges is reaching a certain level of ‘likeness’. And if that objective is not reached then the client may be disappointed in the outcome. The only way that we can assure coming as close as we can to their ‘likeness’ is by taking the time necessary and assuring that we are rendering as accurately as possible what we see in the reference image or images we are working from. This can literally take hours and hours to do even within a small area. Sometimes its possible to spend a 3 to 4 hour session on a space no larger that 4”x4” or 5”x5” because of its high level of detail.
The same thing can be said of projects that are portrayals of famous paintings or illustrations that clients have us do for them. There’s something about the image or references they’re having us work from that has drawn them to get it tattooed. Therefore, we take it very seriously trying to reproduce the image, and again, reach a certain level of ‘likeness’ that meets their expectations.
We often use the term “not an exact science”. And the reason why we say this is because there are many outside factors that can affect the outcome of a tattoo. Therefore, we can’t predict to the minute, hour, or session how long a tattoo may take. (Although, we do give guesstimates prior to scheduling but it’s not guaranteed). More traditional tattoos are easier to predict. The process usually involves outlining a moderately simple outline, followed by some shading, and then some simple solid fields or blends of color. A lot of artists that specialize in more traditional approaches often ‘freehand’ their approach which allows them a certain level of freedom that realism artists just don’t have because of the nature of the work. When it comes to portraiture or realism, it’s not that simple. There are very specific guidelines and boundaries that must be followed in order to achieve the desired result. And again, for us this can take quite a bit of time. Sometimes this can take 3 or 4- 4hr sessions, or it can take 10, 20, or 30 4hr sessions. It just depends on the size, placement, and detail.
Depending on what the tattoo calls for, we may want to ‘ghost line’ or ‘gray line’ the entire design so that the stencil becomes lightly permanent on the skin. For us, this is often the best way to start a tattoo and it can often take an entire session to complete, again depending on size and detail. Once the stencil is completed, we can begin the task of shading sections out during the following sessions.
We use a process of layering when we tattoo. Because tattoos fade with time, we believe that going over areas from previous sessions allows for more saturation which in turn will make the tattoo last longer. Building up of layers creates a certain level of density within the tissue being tattooed and we find it critical to do this especially if the tattoo comes back and it didn’t heal as solid or saturated as anticipated. And that can happen often depending on the health of the clients skin and/or how well they take care of their tattoo. These are things that as artists we have little to no control over. All we can do is control the tattooing process and give advice on what we feel works best for aftercare and hope that the client follows that advice.
We are also big believers that if color will be involved that an ‘underpainting’ helps to not only cement the tattoo, but to help keep its saturation. And in our process, sometimes that involves doing an initial black and gray rendering, then adding color. Again, this kind of process takes time, but not always necessary. We do believe though, that this increases a certain level of longevity for the tattoo that otherwise would not happen.
The aforementioned details above are just a glimpse of the process. And by no means is it the only way to approach tattooing. In fact, there are many amazing tattoo artists whose approach may be completely different than ours. They may also work faster than we do. This is something that MUST be considered and we encourage ALL clients to do their homework and inquire with other artists so that they can make a well informed and educated decision as to which artist would be the best fit for their project and their budget.
Lastly, on a personal note we’d like to say that we love what we do (that goes go without saying, lol). Our process and outcome of each project we feel reflects this. We try and take the best care and time that we can to make each tattoo the best that it can be. We try and strive for perfection with every piece that we do. We believe that quality and attention to detail equals success. We know we aren’t always the right fit for every project so we try to be selective of the pieces we chose to work on and take the time to assure our clients are well informed of our process. n text goes here
After Care
Taking care of your new tattoo is just as important as getting the tattoo done right so be sure to follow these aftercare guidelines and instructions. Doing so will not only help you to avoid infection, it will minimize the possibility of having to touch-up or rework your tattoo.
• Always wash your hands before handing the tattooed area to avoid infection.
• Remove Saniderm after 24 hours under warm, running water.
• Use antibacterial soap and your fingers to gently cleanse your fresh tattoo no towels or any abrasive objects.
• Allow the tattoo to air dry, then apply a thin layer of healing ointment (Hustle Butter, Mad Rabbit, etc.)
• Keep the tattoo moisturized for the first 3-5 days by lightly applying a thin layer of the healing ointment 3-4 times a day and after washing.
• Wash your tattoo with antibacterial soap and warm water 1-2 times a day.
• Switch to a fragrance-free moisturizing lotion (if using Hustle Butter, you can continue to use) for the remainder of the healing process.
• The healing process can take about 2 weeks.
• Never pick or scratch your tattoo while healing. Some scabbing is normal, and picking scabs can cause trauma to the new skin setting in.
• Avoid any body of water (especially submerging your tattoo) while healing.
• Once your tattoo is healed, always wear sunscreen when exposing your tattoo to the sun/UV rays.
• Continue to keep your tattoo moisturized to keep it, and your skin, looking and feeling great!
• We understand that there are other recommended ways as well as an array of other products that the industry suggests when it comes to the healing process. If you’re considering other options, please be sure to do your research and find what works best for you.
POTENTIAL SIGNS & SYMPTOMS OF AN INFECTION
Feelings of malaise; feeling tired, lacking energy and sleeping more than usual. Running a fever; a low grade fever 100 or less may be common, but anything over 101 should prompt you to contact your physician. Fluid drainage; again, some drainage is common, but it should be mainly clear. If you notice anything cloudy, discolored or foul smelling coming from the tattoo site, contact your physician. Increased pain; it is to be expected that the tattoo site may be sore for several days after your tattoo is completed. However, it should begin to subside as your tattoo begins to heal. If this is not the case, contact your physician. Continuous redness and swelling; some redness and swelling are normal, and should diminish within a few days. However, if it continues, or accompanies any streaking, contact your physician. Excessive heat; while the tattoo site may feel warm to the touch, if the heat becomes excessive and lasts more than a few days, contact your physician. The best way to avoid infection is by following the recommendations provided. You can minimize the dangers of getting an infection by being diligent about keeping your tattoo clean. If you are unsure, in doubt or have any questions, contact your tattoo artist. If you feel like you have any of these signs or symptoms mentioned above, consult your physician immediately for diagnosis and medication.
